East Coast Internship & Seminar
450 Level - 3-10 Credits
This course provides academic scaffolding, guided reflection, seminar-based learning, and assessment for internships in the urban context. Mentorship from multicultural community leaders in private, government, non-profit, and faith- based agencies facilitate student learning of foundational principles of vocational praxis. Internships in Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC for many majors, including but not limited to: accounting, biology, business administration, Christian ministry, community development, criminal justice, elementary and secondary education, non-profit management, psychology, and sociology. This is a variable-credit course: 1 credit per 40 hours of internship - Minimum 3 credits (120 hours) and Maximum 10 credits (400 hours).
