  • Dr. Micah Hughes

    Program Director & Associate Professor

    Dr. Hughes has 28 years of international and multi-cultural experience. As the Academic Director and Associate Professor, Dr. Hughes provides student mentorship, instruction, academic leadership, and curriculum oversight for the Baltimore Urban Studies.

  • Molly Russell

    Molly is a lover of the Lord, people, a solid cup of coffee, and a good, long run. She grew up with her three younger siblings in Birmingham, AL and recently graduated from Wheaton College with degrees in Latin American / Latino Studies and Applied Health Sciences. At Wheaton, she studied abroad in Querétaro, Mexico for a semester and in Baltimore for a summer, discovering a love for cross-cultural relationships. She met her people in residence life at Wheaton, serving as a Resident Assistant and an Assistant Resident Director. She is so excited to see how the Lord will move over this next season with BUS!!

  • Calista Chan

    Resident Coordinator

    Calista loves traveling, conversing over a cup of coffee, and spending time on the beach. She was born in Singapore, but grew up all around the world— shaping her cross cultural identity. Calista recently graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California with a degree in History and Political Science, and studied abroad in London, England, falling in love with building a community away from home! 

  • Chris Hon

    Resident Coordinator & Media Assistant

    Chris is a recent graduate of Messiah University with a double degree in Biopsychology and Digital Media (Video Storytelling concentration). Originally from Malaysia, Chris grew up in a very multicultural, multilingual, multi-religious context, which allowed him experience the world from the perspectives of various communities and an incredibly intersectional lens. This has driven him to root himself in spaces that embody cultural diversity, justice building, and human rights. Chris is deeply passionate about using elements of cinematography, ethical storytelling, and graphic design to uplift underrepresented voices, as well as advocating for systemic change alongside marginalized communities.
